Simon Dunmore is a British DJ, A&R executive, and label founder who's been DJing since 1982. He worked at Cooltempo Records (1989) promoting house artists like Adeva and Juliet Roberts, then launched A&M's dance imprint AM:PM in 1994, delivering hits like Ultra Nate's "Free." In 1999, he co-founded Defected Records with Janet Bell, achieving immediate success with Soulsearchers' "Can't Get Enough." As Director until 2022, he built Defected into a house music powerhouse.
