Daft Punk were a French electronic music duo formed in 1993 by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. They emerged from indie rock band Darlin', adopting their name from a negative review calling their music "daft punk." Pioneers of French house, they released influential albums including Homework (1997), Discovery (2001), and Human After All (2005). Known for iconic hits like "Around the World" and "One More Time," they disbanded in February 2021.
