Deadmau5 (pronounced "dead mouse") is Canadian electronic music producer and DJ Joel Zimmerman, born January 5, 1981 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. His name originated from a dead mouse found in his computer. Starting in 2000, he released his debut album "Get Scraped" in 2005 and founded mau5trap records in 2007. He's achieved historic firsts: first electronic artist on Rolling Stone's cover, first to headline Toronto's Rogers Centre and London's Earl's Court. Multi-Grammy nominated with multiple Juno Awards.
