DJ Pierre (Nathaniel Pierre Jones) is a legendary Chicago DJ/producer who pioneered acid house with Phuture in 1986, creating the seminal "Acid Tracks" using a Roland TB-303. He later invented the "wild pitch" style in NYC. Worked as A&R at Strictly Rhythm (1992-94), mentored Felix Da Housecat and Roy Davis Jr., and founded labels DJP Records and Afro Acid. Known for hit "The Horn Song" with Barbara Tucker. Now based in Georgia, continuing to champion underground house music.
