Ed Rush (Ben Settle) is a pioneering London-based drum & bass producer who helped define darkcore and techstep. Starting as a b-boy, he worked at Sainsbury's fish counter to buy his first decks. Collaborating with neighbor Nico Sykes and DJ Trace, he released influential tracks like "Bludclot Artattack" (1993) and "Guncheck." His partnership with Optical created label Virus, releasing groundbreaking EPs "Wormhole" and "Creeps," earning Producer of the Year honors.
