Simon Schilling aka Essáy is a young producer from rural Germany that's already causing a stir. His richly textured compositions have won the hearts of many who have come across him already with the likes of XLR8R marking him out as one to watch. Building up a devoted following on Soundcloud, his unofficial remix of "Shelter" by Birdy was met with a feverish response with over 1000 downloads and 30,000 plays in just 2 days. Having already ridden high in the Beatport Electronica charts with "Morning Mountain" (a track inspired by an ambient composition by award winning New Zealand cinematic composer Rhian Sheehan), and the equally brilliant "A Cold Day" (a 9 minute breath of icy fresh air), 2014 looks set to be a breaking year for Essáy with a string of releases and live shows in the pipeline.
