The kartei group is represented by Master Luke and Dona Renka. Kartei preserve lost memory from the cyber world. Files which shouldn't have been forgotten but still nevertheless remain classified and saved. These files, present through communications technologies, are collected , updated and reactivated in a short-lived way during Kartei's show. The members collect informations, in order to lavish datas existence, sprang from the net …(virus, legends, biographies, studies and scientific advances…) The database compiled from cybernetic research is unique, personalized and of circumstance. Kartei orchestrate a phenomenological exhibition for each of their interventions. The texts are transcribed and available to the public in the form of songs, performed by Dona Renka, with musical arrangement of energetic and melancholic techno played by Master Luke. The procedure to prepare projects, compose songs, conduct the investigation and repeat ,lasts generally one week. Thus, Kartei willingly engages in a vigorous improvisation performance. Kartei 's feature representations is also based to choose and use a participant throughout the show. This "speaker" is chosen in advance by the two members of the group to participate in readings, staging and sometimes to perform songs. It has an important role, and Kartei attributes name and status for the occasion. Kartei claims no political ideas, social or commercial. All information remains real. It is therefore important to emphasize that this is a transcript of manifest words, all elements are used contextually in order to prove their existence. -A new information is coming from the server- Members: Master Luke: Diligent electronic music researcher, supporting the prerogative of the original techno, namely, bass and melody. The creation of the group: May 26th, 2007, Dona Renka was invited by his friend Peter Paul Baenziger, Ph.D. in history and philosophy, to intervene at a party he organized in the squat "Kalkbreite" in Zurich, Switzerland. For this event, a flyer was sent to her in witch was written the name of several artists, musicians and performers and "SURPRISE PARIS" . A challenge was launched. At this time Dona Renka and Master Luke knew through mutual relations and had several times considered a musical collaboration. She was already singing in a band and he was started to compose music. The evening was an opportunity to jump into the adventure. A week before the concert, they managed to make 8 songs together and provide an exhibition for their stunning start.
