Louie Vega is a Grammy-winning American house music DJ, producer, and remixer born June 12, 1965, in The Bronx. Best known for Masters At Work with Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez and Nuyorican Soul, he's held legendary NYC residencies at Studio 54, Sound Factory Bar, and Palladium since 1985. Nephew of salsa icon Héctor Lavoe, he founded Vega Records and has remixed for Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Luther Vandross. His 2016 album Starring…XXVIII earned a Grammy nomination.
