Moby (Richard Melville Hall, b. Sept 11, 1965, Harlem, NY) is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer, and DJ. A Philosophy graduate and former punk rocker (Vatican Commandos), he pioneered electronic music in the 90s with hits like "Go" and "I Feel It." His 1999 album Play became a sleeper hit through widespread licensing. Known for his eclecticism, vegan lifestyle, and environmental activism, he founded labels Little Idiot & Always Centered At Night.
