Paul Kalkbrenner is a pioneering Berlin techno artist and brother of Fritz Kalkbrenner. Rising from East Berlin's post-Wall underground scene, he began DJing at 15 and released melodic, cinematic techno on Bpitch Control from 1999. He starred in cult film Berlin Calling (2008), whose platinum soundtrack featured chart-topping single "Sky and Sand." After founding his own label, he signed with Sony/Columbia in 2015. Known for uncompromising live shows at massive venues.
