Ricardo Villalobos (b. 1970, Santiago, Chile) is a renowned electronic music producer and DJ specializing in minimal techno and microhouse. His family fled to Germany in 1973 following Pinochet's coup, settling in Darmstadt. He began making electronic music in the late 1980s, released his first record in 1994, and turned professional DJ in 1998. Now Berlin-based, he's considered one of Europe's most important minimal DJs.
