The Chemical Brothers are an English electronic music duo formed by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, who met studying history at Manchester University in 1989. Starting as DJs called "The 237 Turbo Nutters," then "The Dust Brothers" in 1992, they changed to The Chemical Brothers in 1995 after legal threats. Pioneers of big beat music, their debut album Exit Planet Dust (1995) sold over a million copies. They achieved crossover success with hits like "Setting Sun" (featuring Noel Gallagher) and Grammy-winning "Block Rockin' Beats."
