Underworld

Underworld is a pioneering UK electronic duo formed by Rick Smith and Karl Hyde in 1987. After evolving from guitar-based pop to techno, they were joined by DJ Darren Emerson in 1991. Their 1996 track "Born Slippy NUXX" from the film Trainspotting became a generational anthem. Known for fusing techno, dub, trance, and ambient with poetic lyrics, their acclaimed debut dubnobasswithmyheadman (1994) established them as groundbreaking innovators who constantly push creative boundaries.
